Paper by PurePyaar Paper by PurePyaar
The full piece created for an A-level project on 'Illustrative Typography'. I chose the word 'Paper' and wanted to communicate that word as clearly as possible so, as a result, I experimented with using paper and the technique of Quilling to create this piece. I incorporated a pencil into the design but kept that and the font simple to emphasise the technique used.

This work may NOT be used anywhere without my explicit permission.

This is good. Qulling is such an interesting technique in my opinion. Love the colours you used.

Amazing! It's so detailed O.O How long did it take to complete this?

(I'm also doing a project on typography, and I came across this deviation while searching for examples to use for research - is it OK if I use this as an example? I credited you, and the work won't be distributed anywhere outside of school... ^^)

I love your work here! I just taught myself how to quill and hopefully sooner than later I will try something like this! I'm getting a little bored with making all the tiny little animals, flowers & such;-)! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

Aww thank you!
I know what you mean, when I first decided I wanted to try this, I had no idea how to start xD
There are a few tutorials you can find on google to start you off =) also I just tried experimenting with bending and rolling paper into different shapes first and seeing what you like =) Good luck!
